The Right of Way plot
Snobbish lawyer Charley 'Beauty' Steele loses his wife and heirs to his drinking, while his brother-in-law absconds with money from one of Steele's clients. While searching for the thief, Steele is attacked and left for dead. However, he is rescued by a kind couple, but suffers from amnesia. He starts his life over and is happy, until the return of his memory forces him to resolve his old obligations.
