The Raven on the Jetty plot
On his ninth birthday, Thomas travels with his mother to his estranged father. After a bitter divorce, the latter has left city life in favor of isolated rural life in England's Lake District. Thomas doesn't understand the separation, nor his own dysfunctional behavior that serves as a silent cry for help. The digital city boy soon encounters the natural world and gradually begins to see what he means to his lonely parents.
