The Price of Pleasure plot

"They played with love for one week -- and then love played with them for two years. The sweetest love story that you have ever seen."

Linnie Randall is a girl who is extremely bored with her everyday life. Her complaint is heard by the wealthy Garry Schuyler, who is disguised as a mechanic. He asks her out to dinner and, much to her delight, even arranges a limousine. The two then spend a whirlwind week together and get married at the end of it. However, their happiness is ruined when Schuyler's aristocratic mother returns from Florida and loudly expresses her disapproval of her new daughter-in-law.
