The Moon and the Stars plot

1939: Europe is on the eve of WWII. Italy is at the center of the tumult as Mussolini has just signed a pact with Hitler. In the Italian film world, however, everything is still peaceful. Producer Davide Rieti is just starting his new film at the Cinecitta studio, starring German super diva Kristina Baumgarten and British actor James Clavel. Both stars are having a hard time with themselves and after some scandals, the war and problems with the government, Rieti soon finds herself at a loss.
