The Miner's Son plot

Clay is part of a band with his friends Davey, Ravvi, and Vim. His father, who has worked in the mines his entire life, wants Clay to follow in his footsteps, despite the impending mine closures announced by the government. However, Clay prefers to spend his time creatively playing guitar and understands that there is no future for him or his generation in the coal industry. This causes friction at home and a tension that spreads throughout the community.
