An explosion makes Montgomery Royale, world-famous and wealthy pianist, completely deaf, but soon becomes a great lip reader. To keep practicing lip-reading, he looks out the window with binoculars to see what the people in the park are saying. He soon discovers that by far most of those people have much bigger problems than himself and he decides to help them.
