"IS YOUR HUSBAND YOUR CAREER? IF HE IS, SEE "THE MAD MARRIAGE". IF HE ISN'T-DON'T LET HIM SEE IT."
Jerry, an artist from Greenwich Village, marries studio assistant and aspiring playwright Jane Judd, knowing she will not interfere with his work. She enters a pageant for which Jerry designs the costumes and attracts the attention of Christiansen, a young playwright with whom she is secretly working on a play.
