The Mad Dancer plot

Mimi, a dancer living in the Latin part of Paris, poses naked in front of a sculpture. When her father commits suicide, she moves to the United States, but finds that her relatives there disapprove of her. She becomes engaged to the son of a US senator, but her past threatens to catch up with her.
