The Love That Lives plot
Molly McGill's life has been a struggle since birth, and after the death of her husband in a bar fight and her baby daughter in an accident, she offers herself to Harvey Brooks, a real estate agent, to pay for her son Jimmy's education. She keeps her life as secret as possible from the boy. He grows up, gets a job with the city fire department, and becomes engaged to Dora Palmer.
