The Longest Hundred Miles plot

"Mile by Mile...Minute by Minute...The Most Dangerous Escape of the War!"

The second World War. The Americans give up the Battle of the Philippines and the remnants of the army are dragged along during the Bataan Death March. Private Steve Bennett manages to escape and dives into the jungle. He has no idea where he is going, but anything is better than a Japanese prison camp. When he arrives at an old mission church, he meets Father Sanchez, nurse Laura Huntington and some orphaned children. Steve is told by Laura that they will be picked up by an American plane in a few days. However, they need help to get to the airport. With Japanese soldiers in pursuit, the group sets off in an old wreckage of a bus.
