The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come plot

Growing up in Kentucky in the 1860s, Chad (Jimmie Rodgers) is protected from his abusive guardian by a kindly schoolmaster, who instills in him a love for singing as well as for their small town Kingdom Come. However, when the Civil War breaks out, Chad, like almost all of his peers, enlists in the military. After the war experiences, Chad later reappears in Kingdom Come as a different person, with a completely new view of the future.
