The Little Brother plot
To support herself, Jerry Ross dresses up as a boy and sells newspapers on the street corner. As a result of a chance meeting with Frank Girard, Jerry is invited to Girard's farm in the countryside. She is later sent to a co-ed institution where she once again adopts the dress and manners of a girl.
