The jealous Leslie has killed Hammond because he is in a relationship with the Malaysian brothel owner Li-Ti. Leslie, however, tells the police that Hammond tried to rape her. It looks like Leslie is going to win the lawsuit because she comes from an influential background. Leslie's attorney Joyce, however, learns of a letter from Leslie to Hammond. This letter contains a declaration of love from Leslie to Hammond and this sheds a different light on the murder case. Joyce tries to buy the letter from the grim Li-Ti for $10,000 and keep it out of court.
