The Lena Baker Story plot

After a difficult childhood, African-American Lena Baker finally has a good life. She finds work with Elliot Arthur, but their business relationship quickly turns into something else. After years of mental and physical abuse, Lena accidentally shoots her white employer. A jury of 12 white men immediately sentenced her to death. Sixty years after her death, Lena is pardoned.
