Sonny Wexler dreams of the 'good old days' when he was a respected Hollywood producer. His last chance at renewed fame is an option on a script offered to him by a young ambitious writer. However, when Sonny discovers that the writer has made a deal with the powerful young studio director Damon Black, he is furious. He is determined to scrape together $50,000 within 72 hours so that he can buy the script before his option expires. When he finds his old friends failing him, Sonny starts a desperate race against time in which he doesn't shy away from any means. Even murder is an option...
