The Last Good Time plot

Joseph Kopple is an elderly widower who isolates himself from the world. He has a large tax debt and has taught himself to live on an absolute basic level. His loneliness in the building he lives in is startled by Charlotte, a younger woman with whom he doesn't get along at all at first. But their scarred lives create a bond.
