The Hell Diggers plot

Teddy Darman is the construction supervisor for the Continental Gold Dredging Company. But the farmers in the valley where the company is dredging are angry because it is ruining their land. Led by John Wade, the farmers form a fierce opposition. This only bothers Darman when he realizes that Dora, his lover who is also Wade's daughter, is siding with the farmers. Darman changes his mind and the farmers mortgage their farms so he can build a dredger that will save the land.
