The Golden Age of Fish plot

Different stories from the surroundings of Cleveland in the American Ohio are interwoven. An African-American geologist is excavating fish from the Devonian period (a period when a huge number of new fish species suddenly appeared), as the basis for a poetic and atmospheric depiction of times long gone to the here and now.
