The Garden Apartment plot

Hikari is pregnant and frustrated by her boyfriend Taro's inability to take responsibility. Taro's extravagant "aunt" Kyoko invites her to a party at her home, where she takes care of a group of homeless youngsters as solace over her husband's death. Hikari is the only sensible one of the bunch and soon catches the attention of Kyoko's young boyfriend.
