The Enemy Sex plot
Dodo Baxter has a successful career as a singer and has always remained a careful girl. A well-known sextet is invited to perform at a festive meeting. When one of them doesn't show up, their manager asks Dodo to take her place. At the party, Dodo meets four new men. She is smart enough to see through two of them: the corrupt meeting organizer Albert Sasson and the powerful newspaper publisher Harrigan Blood. Instead, Dodo is passionate about Judge Massingale and the man who ends up stealing her heart, the hopeless alcoholic Garry Lindaberry. Judge Massingale realizes that Lindaberry will appeal to Dodo's maternal instincts and forgoes any further advances. Lindaberry wants to make amends to marry Dodo.
