The Elephant and the Sea plot
A fishing village by the sea. An elephant has disappeared and the owner will have to go on without his animal. The sea has now receded, but the traces of the disaster are still visible. The residents try to survive or forget their grief with a prostitute. Yun Ding tries every possible way to make ends meet. For example, he lays planks with nails on the road so that he can later repair the tires of his victims. The taciturn fisherman Ah Ngau has been at sea for days and when he returns, he finds that his wife has died. This makes him even more silent. He doesn't even say anything to the prostitute.
