The Day She Paid plot

Marion Buckley is a model from Manhattan. She is hesitant to accept the marriage proposal of wealthy widower Warren Rogers because of an old affair with her employer Leon Kessler. Because Kessler promises to remain silent about the affair, she eventually decides to marry Warren. One day, Kessler proposes to Ardath, Warren's teenage daughter. To save Ardath from making a mistake, Marion confesses her affair to her husband. Warren puts Marion on the street and she has to earn a living as a journalist.
