The Day Lincoln Was Shot plot
"Hatred so deep can be murder."
The American Civil War is coming to an end. On April 14, 1865, President Lincoln spent the day preparing to rebuild the Union after 4 years of war. With the fall of the Confederate capital at Richmond and General Lee's surrender at Appomattox, peace appears to be on the way. But not for one man: John Wilkes Booth. He is handsome, radiant and the darling of the theatre. And he harbors a boundless hatred for Lincoln. That night, he will play his last but most startling role: that of the president's assassin.
