In December 2001, the largest bankruptcy in American history took place. Ten thousand people lost their jobs, and many more people lost all their savings. In total, $25 billion was lost. This is the story of Enron's shocking demise, told by an eyewitness who witnessed the company's fall from within. Brian Cruver, an intelligent boy from Texas, is 26 years old. He is perfectly satisfied with his job at Enron, which is buying up countless bankrupt companies and becoming one of America's most successful companies. Brian believes everything Enron Chairman Kenneth Lay says about the integrity of the company. Brian's salary skyrockets and he takes a position in the company that gives him a lot of power. As a result, he becomes hopelessly entangled in the web of greed. Even if he threatens to lose Courtney, he continues. He has achieved everything he wanted until he discovers what Enron is really up to.
