The Crime Nobody Saw plot
Horace Dryden, Nick Milburn and 'Babe' Lawton are playwrights. In an apartment they work on a plot for a new play. They are still on page one when a drunk man walks into their room and collapses. The trio searches for his ID, but they find only $15,000 in his pockets. Thinking the man might be a blackmailer, the trio decide to write a screenplay about him. However, they become more involved with the man when he is later found and murdered.
