The Crime Doctor plot

"He couldn't stand their happiness... So he planned the perfect crime!"

The criminologist Dan Gifford is blackmailed by a woman, who says that his wife Andra is having an affair with a man and he then kills her. Dan manages to get his wife's boyfriend to blame for the murder and he is convicted. However, his wife Andra continues to reject Dan. Despondent Dan contemplates suicide.
