The Clown and the Kid plot

"Ex-Con...Carnival Kid..."

A sickly clown dies while trying to get his son to attend a Texas nun school. However, the orphaned boy joins a fugitive who makes the deceased clown use his makeup to disguise himself. At first, the boy doesn't know he's out with an escaped convict, but when he discovers it, he steals the bandit's horse and gallops off, straight toward an approaching tornado. The convict is just about to go after the boy when the police show up. A fight takes place and he can escape again and continue his quest.
