"All the fishermen dug her!"

In a coastal New England town, a young woman becomes embroiled in a highly unusual romance. It concerns Prudence, who has to take care of her alcoholic father every day. She has an affair with Jason, the son of her father's nemesis. Because the couple themselves understand that their relationship could cause many problems, the two decide to leave the area and look for a new home. But since Jason was about to marry someone else, it won't be so easy.
