The Chick plot

In a border cafe, an Iranian cook and an illegal Afghan immigrant who works there are dependent on each other. In order to save the sick Afghan girl from the people smugglers, the Iranian woman faces the choice of sending the Afghan woman to prison, where she could then undergo a free operation.
