Jean (Ann Jillian) and Tom (Lee Horsley), married and addicted to the old romantic movie classics, meet because they both invariably attend the classic movie screening at the cinema on Monday nights. They quickly become more than friends, and inspired by the classics they always see, they begin a love affair. At the same time, they know all too well that the relationship cannot have a happy ending.
