The Bottom of the Bottle plot
"It's brother against brother ... stripping the southwest's ranch society of its bought respectability !"
The wealthy lawyer Patrick Martin is highly regarded in the border town of Nogales. When he comes home one evening, he comes across his brother Donald in the garage. He has escaped from prison and wants his brother to take him across the Santa Cruz River to Mexico. However, this is not possible because the water in the river is too high. Patrick tells his wife Nora that Donald is a friend of his. When Nora discovers that Donald is his brother, she urges Patrick to help his brother, regardless of his social position.
