The Blue Envelope Mystery plot

Leslie Brennan, an heiress, suddenly finds herself running out of money and faces the ordeal of supporting herself. Before learning this state of affairs, she had become blinded by the charms of a cold-blooded fortune seeker, but she becomes disillusioned when she discovers that he is only attracted by her supposed wealth, and immediately takes up making a living in New York City. There she studies typing and makes new friends.
