The Astonished Heart plot
"A daring experiment in love!"
Two old friends Barbara and Leonora reconnect after many years. Time apparently hasn't tarnished their friendship, and Barbara invites Leonora to her home a few days later to introduce her husband. The latter does not get along well with Leonora from the start. The feeling seems mutual. One evening Barbara has to leave town to help her mother. That way she can't go to the play she planned to watch with Leonora. Chris reluctantly decides to take Barbara's place. But later Barbara is in for a surprise.
