The Assignment plot

"Today is tomorrow's history"

During the history lesson, a class is given the assignment to investigate their own past. Student Eliza Baird (Linsey Godfrey) finds out that her family doesn't have a single baby photo of her. She also realizes that she bears no resemblance to anyone in the family. There is also no public or medical information about her. When she approaches her parents about this, she is told that she has been adopted. Something she shouldn't have known until she was 18.
