The 27 Club plot
Eliot is the surviving member of the rock band Finn after his best friend and fellow band member, Tom, commits suicide. He did this a week after his 27th birthday. Along with the boy Three Words and a young Irish hitchhiker, Eliot embarks on a drug-related journey from Los Angeles to his hometown of Joplin, Missouri, to fulfill Tom's last request.
