Tanoshiki Kana Jinsei plot

Japan, during the last years of the Second World War. Across the country, there is a shortage of anything and everything, forcing people to make ends meet in a small town. When Taro Soma and his family come to live in the town, the residents are very reserved towards him and his family members. Their 'do more with little' skills and their problem-solving skills soon ensure that the novices win over the townspeople.
