Taiga no Itteki plot

Yukiko and her business partner are in Moscow looking for Russian items for their store in Tokyo. There they meet the Russian interpreter and trumpet player Nicholai. Several months later, Nicholai and Yukiko meet again when he auditions for the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the two fall for each other. However, Yukiko's father has been told that he is suffering from a terminal cancer. Yukiko returns home to be with him in his final stages of life when her father chooses to stop undergoing therapy and die at home. There she meets an old friend from her childhood. Yukiko must choose between him and Nicholai, while coping with her father's imminent death.
