Lucia leads a cheerful Pippi Longstocking-like life in a small town in Estonia. Her mother Maria is always drunk and her father Kaido, a gravedigger, cannot afford to support the family. Then the family receives an unexpected invitation to spend a week in the house of the female pastor Sirpa in Finland. There their lives take a further turn.
