Sunshine plot

"The tender story of a girl's determination to fill her life with sunshine... for as long as she lives"

Kate Hayden (Cristina Raines) lives in a house in the middle of a forest with her husband, musician Sam (Cliff De Young), and their two-year-old daughter Jill (Lindsay Greenbush). When she discovers that she has terminal cancer, she decides to write a diary during her remaining days. She wants to leave this to her husband and daughter. Based on the tape recordings of the diary of Jacquelyn Helton, who died of cancer at the age of 20.
