Sugar plot

"Love should not hurt"

Sugar is set in and around a bustling hair salon where Chyna works alongside her sisters. She is the neighborhood's favorite stylist, loved for her talent and for her relationship with Raoul, the man everyone seems to be falling for. But behind the facade, their relationship looks very different. When Raoul becomes increasingly violent, she decides that she and her baby Sugar must leave him. However, he won't let her go easily. We follow Chyna as she breaks with old patterns, violence, and everything she has ever known.
