Strangers All plot
"A MOTHER'S STORY! KNIT TOGETHER BY TIES OF LIFE! THEY WERE SHELTERED UNDER ONE ROOF...CARED FOR BY THE SAME LOVING HAND...LOVED BY ONE GREAT HEART...YET WERE STRANGERS ALL"
Murray Carter is a shopkeeper in a working-class neighborhood in New York. He supports his mother Anna and her children Dick, Lewis and Lily, who attend high school. Murray has postponed marriage to his accountant Frances Farrell because mother Anna agreed to fulfill Dick's dream of becoming an actor and gave in to the fanatical Lewis's wish to become a socialist. All hope is on Lily. She must try to get the support of corporate lawyer Frank Walker, but no one has heard from Lily for four days.
