Step by Step plot
"You can't use kid gloves on a killer... or a blonde!"
Fresh out of the Navy, Johnny sees Christopher (Lawrence Tierney) Evelyn Smith (Anne Jeffreys) swimming in the sea. After being brushed off by her, he follows her to a house where she works as a secretary for a senator. Once inside, another Mrs Smith seems to have taken her place and 'his' Mrs Smith is nowhere to be seen. Calling in the police does not seem to work out well and the situation deteriorates even as the bodies begin to pile up and he is seen as a confused and possibly addicted war veteran.
