Spielzeugland plot
"1942: what happens when a German kid believes that his Jewish neighbors are going to Toyland?"
Nazi Germany, 1942. The deportation of the Jewish neighbors of Marianne Meißner and her six-year-old son Heinrich is expected soon. Paul, the neighbour's son, and Heinrich are best friends. To protect her son, Marianne tries to make him believe that the Jewish neighbors are going on a trip to 'Toy Land', but Heinrich would like to go with them. One morning Marianne wants to wake Heinrich, but his bed is empty. She leaves her flat to look for him. The neighbor's door is ajar. However, the family is gone and everything has been turned upside down. She asks passers-by, runs to the police and then to the yard. Marianne realizes that Heinrich has joined the neighbors. Will she arrive in time to find Heinrich?
