Sortez des Rangs plot

1919. Michel and his mother live alone in the Parisian suburbs. They are the target of the neighbours' sarcasm, because Michel's father was shot "as an example" during the war for mutiny. One evening the hatred of the neighbors degenerates and a fierce argument ensues. Michel's mother is locked up in a mental asylum, while the boy ends up in an orphanage. When the Spanish flu breaks out, he manages to flee with three friends. He is determined to track down General des Gringues, who in time ordered his father to be shot.
