Silmäterä plot

Maria is a single mother. She lives with her daughter Julia in a neighborhood with dismal high-rise apartment buildings on the outskirts of the city. At night she delivers newspapers and during the day, exhausted, she takes care of her daughter. One of the few social contacts is her neighbor Karin, who has just been divorced. She tells Marja that she does not want children, but is afraid of being alone. One day an attractive man appears in the neighbourhood, who is (emotionally) moved when he sees Julia.
