Sie Nannten Ihn Amigo plot

1939, a Berlin backyard. Hotte and Sine find a man in a cellar shed. Hotte's big brother Amigo admits that he is a political prisoner and orders the two toddlers to keep quiet. He secretly provides the refugee Pepp with the bare necessities. He even steals from his father for that. He has no idea it was a bold move to help Pepp escape the deportation train. When Sine asks his father what 'an illegal one' is, he forbids him to have further contact with Amigo and Hotte, even though their father had already been detained as a 'politician'. Wearing the Hitler Youth uniform that Sine receives as a gift shortly afterwards, he becomes the mockery of the other children in the backyard. Furious, he insults Amigo's father. But then Sine also understands that it is not about good or evil, but about Nazi and non-Nazi and that is why he immediately wants to help.
