The 'favelas' (slums) of Rio de Janeiro are a veritable jungle, where money is scarce, the rules are made by the crime bosses and where death lurks around every corner. But dreams can make a person survive. This after Thiago witnessed the brutal murder of his father in a football match. Thiago now devotes his life to this game, as it is his only way out of this 'City without God'.
