Poor orphan Kitty Lane is a waitress at her aunt and uncle's cafe. Kitty falls in love with Dave Livingston, a member of a wealthy family. Dave's mother Helen Livingston is against his romance with Kitty. She convicts Kitty over a false accusation of prostitution. While Dave accompanies his mother on a long trip to Europe, Kitty attends a re-education school and becomes a successful entertainer. When Dave and Kitty reunite after several years, Helen Livingston tries to break this romance again, but this time by force of arms...
