Shirley Valentijn plot

Television adaptation of Willy Russell's monologue “Shirley Valentine” (made into a 1989 film by Lewis Gilbert). Anne-Wil Blankers is the withered housewife who chats to the viewer about her life, her children, her boring husband, really wants to go on holiday, but doesn't know how to say it to her husband. When her friend Nel wins a trip to Greece for two, she goes along without thinking and her life takes a surprising turn. She decides not to return to her safe haven.
