Shimmer plot

Steve Borman is an eighteen-year-old boy from a small town in Nebraska. He doesn't seem to have much of a future there and works a bit in his mother's antique shop. Since his mother got pregnant with Steve when she was 16, she has been the subject of all kinds of village gossip. When a former psychologist returns to his native village after years, Steve becomes fascinated by the man. One drunken night, he breaks into his bee and makes a shocking discovery.
